KOH LANTA 2022. The penultimate episode of Koh Lanta, the cursed totem allowed us to discover the identity of the four finalists of the season. Recap and notes from the adventurers of episode 16.
[Mis à jour le 14 juin 2022 à 23h30] After Olga’s elimination last week, it’s time for the first part of the Koh Lanta final, the cursed totem with orienteering. They are five to be able to hope to climb on the mythical posts of the show. François, Jean-Charles, Ambre, Géraldine and Bastien all five have the skills to qualify but before that they must show their composure and find the three daggers scattered on an island in the Philippines. Jean-Charles, who is keen to win his first event after having “lost everything” throughout the adventure, impresses. The fustier is the first to find a dagger hidden in the foliage of a desert island. He is thus ahead of the other four candidates and even allows himself to do so in an extremely short time: 36 minutes! A great revenge for Jean-Charles for whom the adventure is now complete with a victory and a participation in the posts!
Nice revenge also for Géraldine who, too, had not won any individual events during the season but the mother of the family is doing more than honorably during the orientation where she finishes second after Jean-Charles in 1h03 ! There is only one place left on the posts for the three remaining candidates. Despite the fact that he is used to orienting himself in difficult terrain due to his job, François has trouble finding the beacon that will allow him to know the direction of the last dagger he is looking for. Once the beacon is found, however, he is put in difficulty by Ambre and Bastien who have since joined him and are trying to beat him to the post. However, the Montpellier firefighter ended up finding the last dagger of the orienteering race.
But all is not lost for Bastien and Ambre. The two ex-pairs of linked destinies must face each other in a final orienteering race with certainty: one of them will have to leave the adventure definitively while the other will go and perch on the posts while undergoing the last (so far unknown) curse of the season. Nerves are tense and the two candidates search in the same place… Until Bastien finally finds the dagger of deliverance. It’s a bitter victory for the rope access technician who sees here one of his adventure companions eliminated by his doing. Ambre is therefore eliminated from Koh Lanta 2022 at the gates of the post test. The four finalists are now known: Jean-Charles, Géraldine, François and Bastien, who will be disadvantaged during the posts due to the curse of the cursed totem.

This year, the Koh Lanta final is broadcast on June 21, 2022. The orienteering race takes place on June 14 and will determine the last four candidates who will participate, the following week, in the mythical pole test. . Because yes, this year for the first time, four candidates will be on the poles of Koh Lanta, the cursed totem, the three qualified for orientation as well as one of the two other candidates decided by a second orienteering race. This last candidate will be perched on a “cursed” post and will therefore have more difficulty winning the final event.
The candidates from Koh Lanta are going on an adventure in the Philippines. After a season marked by the return of iconic former adventurers from the TF1 program, the 2022 season sees the return of anonymous people. In total, they are 24 candidates, 12 men and 12 women, to try the adventure of the cursed totem in the hope of becoming the big winner of the season.
Koh Lanta is back for a new season, entitled “The cursed totem”, in 2022. This one can be discovered on Tuesday evening, since February 22. Each episode is broadcast on TF1 from 9:10 p.m., as is usually the case. The first channel therefore decided to keep the Tuesday evening slot, tested during the All Star season in 2021, instead of Friday evening as was traditionally the case until then.

Koh Lanta is an adventure game broadcast since 2001 on TF1. It was presented by Hubert Auriol for the first season. Since 2002, it is Denis Brogniart who is in charge of the animation of the program. Several adventurers try to survive on a deserted island until the finale. In this entertainment of survival and strategy, several tests punctuate each episode, and a candidate is eliminated by the other participants, until there are only five left. The latter then decide on two emblematic tests: the orientation and the posts, before the final vote. Since its inception, the game has seen many rule changes.
Koh Lanta is a TF1 program broadcast twice each year on the first channel: a first season is broadcast in the spring, a second at the end of the summer. Each episode is available on television but also live on the MyTF1 site via tablet, computer or smartphone. The show is available for replay the next day on the MyTF1 website and this for a period of 7 days. Note that the replays are posted on the Salto platform for an indefinite period, which allows the most avid fans to see or re-watch the entire season.
Due to accusations of cheating which would involve adventure game finalists, there was no winner at the end of the last season of Koh Lanta, at the end of 2021. A first in the adventure game. According to Le Parisien, it is Claude Dartois who would have obtained the most votes from his partners and opponents during the final council. But the ballots will not even have been counted … Broadcast on June 4, 2021, the previous final of Koh Lanta (The Secret Weapons) had crowned Maxine, who is therefore the only winner of Koh Lanta in 2021.
