King Charles III, for the first time as Britain’s regent, leads the celebration of the Remembrance Sunday holiday, a day of remembrance for the efforts of British soldiers in war.

The holiday celebrated on Sunday begins with two minutes of silence. As King and Commander-in-Chief of the British Forces, Charles III will lay a wreath at the Cenotaph monument in London.

The monarch has previously served as a substitute for his mother Queen Elizabeth, who died in September, when last year she missed the ceremony due to back problems that required a hospital stay.
