Judge confirms: squatters on Utrecht’s Catharijnesingel may remain in the building for another week

Squatted building on the Catharijnesingel in Utrecht

On October 1, the ground floor of Catharijnesingel 91 was squatted. Much to the frustration of the owner, who was busy with a renovation. The contractor was temporarily unable to continue his work because the floor had to be replaced due to rotten floor beams. And because it is a monumental building, a permit application is required. After the application had been submitted, we had to wait until the objection period had expired, and during that period the building was squatted.
