Journey between two works with violinist Renaud Capuçon

Journey between two works with violinist Renaud Capucon

It is a musical journey between two works, two extraordinary destinies offered by the French violinist Renaud Capuçon. It brings together in the same album the Four Seasons by Vivaldi, a monument of classical music, and two Violin Concertos by the Chevalier de Saint-Georges, nicknamed the “African Mozart”. Born a slave in the 18th century in Guadeloupe, this composer and gentleman became one of the most prominent artistic – and sporting – personalities of his time. He will be at the Les Nuits du Château de la Moutte festival in Saint-Tropez on August 9, on August 10 at the Mozarteum in Salzburg in Austria, on August 15 at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam in the Netherlands and on August 19 again in France at the Festival of Roque d’Anthéron. (Rebroadcast October 24, 2022)
