Jordan Rawling had to leave the quarter-finals of Idol

It was an emotional evening to say the least when it was time for the quarter finals of Idol. Tributes of love were on the schedule. But Jordan Rawlings’ effort did not go all the way.
– I am so grateful for all the memories, he says in Idol.

The theme during Friday’s quarter-finals was love, and the idols had been allowed to choose songs to dedicate to their loved ones. In addition, the viewers had been allowed to send in suggestions for songs that the participants should sing, and thus the second song selection of the evening was dedicated to the viewers.

The evening got off to a great start when Cimberly dedicated Bon Jovi’s “Bed of Roses” to her mother Jaana.

It had already been decided that Cimberly’s mother would not be in the audience due to a period of illness, but when Cimberly had finished singing, a real surprise awaited backstage.

It was a long evening with lots of tears, emotions and loving moments. Musical current affairs Viktor Norén was also present at the jury table and acted as a guest jury, and sang his new song “Det är dig jag väntt på” in duet with Lisa Nilsson.

Last year’s Idol winner Nike Sellmar also guested with his brand new single “Hung the Moon”.

Impressed the jury

Cimberly was the first to be sent through to next week’s semi-finals. Saga also made a big impression on both the jury and viewers tonight and was therefore safe.

Louisa Hoxha and Jordan Rawling hung loose, but in the end it was Louisa Hoxha who clinched the fourth and final semi-final spot after putting in a very emotional performance earlier in the evening.

– I have grown so much as an artist and a person. I am so grateful for all the memories that I will take with me for the rest of my life, says Jordan Rawling when it is clear that he will leave Idol.

The presenter Per Lernström paid tribute to Jordan Rawlings’ efforts.

– You have grown so much as a person, and you have learned so much. Thank you, says Per Lernström
