Jonna Sundling is now demanding a crisis meeting after the Swedish disappointment in Finland – when both she and Linn Svahn failed

Jonna Sundling and Linn Svahn were in great shape.
But unexpectedly failed during the sprint in Lahtis.
Now Sundling demands a crisis meeting with the Swedish national skiing team.

Ahead of the World Cup weekend in Lahtis, Finland, both were Jonna Sundling and Lynn Svahn in great shape. They also showed their superiority on Friday when together they won the sprint relay with ease.

Stavås Skistad won

But Sunday’s sprint was not at all what the Swedish duo had hoped for. Then Kristine Stavå’s Ski City rode away from everyone and won comfortably, while the best Swede was Maja Dahlqvist in third place.

For the sake of the unusual, both Sundling and Svahn missed the podium completely, we don’t see that shot at the World Cup these days. Jonna was very disappointed after her fifth place.
– I tried to find good positions right from the start and can’t quite get there. It really becomes a war right from the start, just finding a good place to ski. Because I want to advance, but there are a lot of people ahead of me, she tells Expressen about the tough race.
– There is something that makes me slip down and I don’t know exactly what it is, maybe I should have sprinted a little faster.

Sundling requires

Sundling nevertheless admits that she is satisfied with the World Cup weekend as a whole, despite the disappointment in the sprint final. But even in the semi-final, something was not right and it was clearly visible in the TV broadcast from the race.

Both Jonna Sundling and Linn Svahn led the race when Norwegian arch-rival Stavås Skistad just slipped past on the last downhill.
– I haven’t seen any film about it, I’ve just been in the middle of it and tried to make the best of it. Then it is clear that I felt that sometimes there were some people who swished by, but I worked with what I had, says Sundling to the evening newspaper.

Now she demands a crisis meeting with the Swedish herding team to find the problem behind the poor sliding on the downhill slopes.
– I will take and evaluate with the dikes and see how the material was too, says the Swedish skiing star in the interview.
