Boxer Jonna Hakkarainen, 21, the last few months have been a protracted torment. In January, Hakkarainen filed a harassment report about his former coach, after which the disciplinary process lasted for almost six months.

According to the Disciplinary Committee, Hakkarainen’s former coach had not committed any unsportsmanlike conduct in the Tammer tournament in January. Prior cases were not even investigated by the Disciplinary Committee because they had not been reported within the one-week deadline.

– It didn’t come from a terrible bush, this is how it went now. Of course, I felt pretty bad, even if something had been taken seriously and it had become something, Hakkarainen commented to Urheil on Monday.

Hakkarainen does not know yet whether he intends to appeal the decision of the Disciplinary Committee. The decision can be appealed to the Sports Judicial Security Committee.

– It was said from the association that I have the opportunity to lodge a complaint again with one of the boards about this hearing. You can always file a crime report, but all of these seem like a new rumba, and I don’t know if I can handle it. However, I have value races coming and I have already seen how this has affected my own physical health. We need to consider what is the most sensible solution.

How has what happened affected your physical health?

– I do not think it can be a coincidence that I have been more sore in the last six months than in the last five years. I have had migraines during the course of this case. It always hurts to head when the phone is singing all the time. This is really mentally burdensome, even if I don’t understand it yet.

Hakkarainen did not know about the one-week deadline

Hakkarainen was unaware of the one-week deadline when he announced his former coach to Suek (Finnish Sports Ethics Center) in January.

– After a while, Suek became aware of the hop, they were aware of this deadline, Hakkarainen says.

The case was referred from Suek to the Martial Arts Disciplinary Committee.

The HS story involved harassment, mental violence, manipulation, control, intimidation and harassment experienced by Hakkarainen. According to the story, the author was Hakkarainen’s former coach, who now works in management positions in boxing.

At the end of the coaching relationship, Hakkarainen had hoped that the former coach would have nothing to do with him. According to the HS story, in the January Tammer tournament, several people witnessed the former coach’s inappropriate behavior towards Hakkara.

According to HS, for example, the former coach had come to disturb Hakkarainen’s warm-ups and eventually arrived in the corner of Hakkarainen, where the boxer’s coach and the nearest assistants are.

According to a report by the Disciplinary Committee, the coach did not commit any “unsportsmanlike conduct” in the Tammer tournament.

– This is obviously not serious enough about what happened there, it obviously will not have any consequences, Hakkarainen comments on the decision.

Previous events in the Tammer tournament were therefore not investigated by the Disciplinary Committee because they had not been reported within the one-week deadline. This coach worked as Hakkarainen’s coach for five years.

Hakkarainen says he is afraid of the consequences of his public exit.

– Indeed. Boxing is a bit of a sport that uncles in the sauna are suitable for who go to competitions. From this, anyone can get a reason to leave me out why I wouldn’t be ready or able to go to the race.
