Johan Pehrson (L) was, today at the party’s extra national meeting, formally elected as regular party leader for the Liberals.

He has been a substitute for 7 months, which means 232 days at the post. In other words, Johan Pehrson then became acting party leader Nyamko Sabuni hastily resigned in April.
Pehrson was the only candidate for the party leader post. The next national meeting will take place sometime in 2023.

The newly elected party leader began by thanking all party members for their efforts during the election campaign.
