Today, March 12, on Jämtland’s national day, the jamska.com service is launched online. It translates Swedish into Jamska. SVT Jämtland has met the author, who has his roots in the Jämtland community in the village of Bjärme.
– I myself use jamska almost daily. Both in connection with this project but also in daily conversations with the family, says Johan Olsson, who on a daily basis works as a programmer.
Many get in touch
Already on the same day as the launch of the site, many people have contacted us with suggestions for more words that should be included. And the service seems to be appreciated by many.
– Already on the first day, there have been overwhelmingly many kind and nice reactions. More than I could have hoped for, says Johan Olsson.
