Japanese scientists announced the fruit that is good for Covid-19! It reduces the risk of infection

An experimental study by Japanese scientists revealed that the tannin substance obtained from persimmon reduces the likelihood of contracting Covid-19 or developing severe symptoms.

A research group from the Nara Medical University in the country’s Kashihara city has revealed that experiments on hamsters reduce the likelihood of the tannin derived from persimmons being infected or developing serious symptoms from Covid-19. As part of the study, the results of which were published in the digital version of Scientific Reports in the UK on December 8, researchers who applied a compound containing tannin obtained from persimmon to the oral cavity of hamsters, detected a high rate of viral load and signs of pneumonia in the lungs of hamsters who did not take the substance within 3 days. While low viral density was observed in the lungs of hamsters injected with tannin compound obtained from persimmon, no signs of tuberculosis were observed.

IT ALSO REDUCES THE RISK OF INFECTION

In addition, the experts, who put the hamsters given the tannin obtained from persimmon in the same cage with the hamsters carrying the Covid-19 virus for 30 minutes, did not find the virus in the lungs of the hamsters who took the substance in the tests after 1 week. Stating that the findings reveal that the compound used in the experiment reduces the likelihood of being infected or developing severe symptoms from Covid-19, experts underlined that clinical tests on humans are important and more experiments are needed.

A cure-all

Originally grown in China and Japan and also known as “fruit of paradise” or “palm of paradise” in our country, the fruit contains rich vitamins A, C, B1, B2 and B3, carbohydrates, phosphorus, protein, calcium, iron, sodium, cellulose, It is stated that due to potassium and magnesium, it has a protective effect against serious diseases such as heart diseases and cancer. Tannins, which are amorphous substances in the form of light yellow-brown powder, flake or spongy mass obtained from plants, are found in the roots, wood, bark, leaves and fruits of plants.
