Jan (90) from Amerongen still works as an analogue bookkeeper: ‘I have 70 customers and I am never tired’

Jan 90 from Amerongen still works as an analogue bookkeeper

Jan’s passion for collecting must have started around that time, because just after the war he found all kinds of helmets, badges and passports of German soldiers who had left in a hurry in abandoned buildings. He keeps the certificates and medals with swastikas and skulls in a biscuit tin. Later he also started collecting postcards, cigar boxes, anti-aircraft guns, rifles, helmets, maps and banknotes. “By the way, I’m still looking for a postcard of the swimming pool in Amerongen. Four have been made and I am still missing one.”
