In Abidjan, the Ivorian government has undertaken the construction of a service road and a wall of nearly 10 km along the Bassam highway near the town of Port-Bouët to improve traffic flow and try to prevent pedestrians from crossing the road. After the construction of this wall, the inhabitants of Port-Bouët are divided between the feeling of feeling locked behind this wall and the need to reduce the number of road accidents.
