(Finance) – IVECO, the brand of Iveco Group NV which designs, produces and markets light, medium and heavy commercial vehicles, continues its activity to support people living in situations of social vulnerability in Brazil. Every December, since 2015, the IVECO Solidarity Caravan crosses Brazil to carry out a project that benefits a local community and this year the theme was “Opening windows to create new paths”. The project supports i residents of Piaçabuçu, in the north-east of Brazil, one of the most disadvantaged regions of the country, with very limited access to the Internet.
The initiative, carried out in collaboration with the NGO “Olha o Chico”, transforms a public space into a real laboratory of knowledge. The activity of the Solidarity Caravan will in fact facilitate the development of digital skills among local young and elderly people, helping them with daily activities and providing access to professional development courses. An activity that goes far beyond the transport of goods and, by helping to realize the dreams of thousands of people who will improve their knowledge and their lives, shapes the future of an entire
community.
