Italgas, profit rises to 213.2 million euro in the first half

Italgas postpones the BoD for approval and presentation of the

(Tiper Stock Exchange) – Italgas closed the first half of 2023 with total revenue equal to 931.8 million euros (+31.7% compared to 30 June 2022), and refer to regulated natural gas distribution revenue (722.3 million euros) and other revenues (209.5 million euros). As at 30 June 2023, the revenues deriving from the inclusion in the scope of consolidation of the DEPA Infrastructure Group starting from 1 September 2022 amounted to 87.0 million euros.

L’EBITDA for the first six months of the year amounted to 607 million euro (+18.3%) andNet income attributable to the group at 213.2 million euros (+14.9%).

“With almost 400 million euros invested in the half year, the company confirms itself among the leading industrial companies in terms of investment capacity and grounding of projects capable of contributing to improving people’s quality of life – he added – We have laid the foundations for doing our part also in the management of water services: by borrowing from them the technologies developed for gas it will be possible to obtain immediate results in terms of efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the service for the territories and communities”.

In the first six months of the year, 398.2 million euros were made investments dedicated primarily to the extension, digital transformation and repurposing of networks. More specifically, 478 kilometers of new pipelines were laid in the first half of 2023. The contribution of activities in Greece was significant, with an investment of around 50 million euros, for the completion of 311 kilometers of new pipelines, more than half of which related to the methane supply plan in DEDA’s areas of responsibility.

L’net financial debt as at 30 June 2023, excluding the effects deriving from the financial payables pursuant to IFRS 16 equal to 84.1 million euro (72.0 million euro as at 31 December 2022) and the shareholder loan Italgas NewCo, amounted to 6,230.7 million euro, an increase of 302.6 million euro compared to 31 December 2022 (5,928.1 million euro).
