After almost a quarter of a century Director Ridley Scott continues his gigantic action adventure Gladiator, which won five Oscars. Today the film with Russell Crowe is on TV and tells the touching and exciting story of a man, who seeks revenge.

Once again, General Maximus (Crowe) has led his army in a successful battle against the Germans, now he just wants to return to his family. Completely through no fault of his own, he suddenly becomes involved in political machinations and is sentenced to death by the emperor’s son Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix). Although he manages to escape execution, but ends up as a slave in the gladiator school. He wants to become the most successful gladiator in Rome so that he can face his archenemy Commodus in the Colosseum.

Gladiator 2’s theatrical release is announced
According to The Numbers, Ridley Scott’s film cost a whopping $100 million and was a complete success, grossing $450 million. Few fans will be surprised that the second part will inevitably be more expensive. However, according to rumors, the sequel Gladiator 2 will be released cost three times as much as the Gladiator original from 2000.
