Doctor Tax Bhatia suggests on his blog how fast the metabolism will work based on three main factors; two of these can be replaced by the foods you eat.
One of these factors is whether the energy you get from food is used to break down other foods or whether it’s directly burned down. He explains that this is called the “thermogenic effect” of food.
Two other factors include your basal metabolic rate and how much physical activity you do. Your basal metabolic rate is the amount of energy you naturally break down without doing anything.

These special foods “can help you burn more calories and lose weight while you’re resting,” she adds. So, what are the foods he recommends to improve your metabolism to burn more fat?
