ISW Growing concern among Russian war bloggers about a future

Bloggers who follow the war in Russia feel that Russia has deployed too many troops in Bahmut, think tank ISW says in its latest situation review.

Discussions about Ukraine’s future counterattack are currently hot among Russian war bloggers, according to the Institute for The Study of War (ISW), a think tank that follows the war in Ukraine.

Russian sources have said that Ukraine has deployed more and more troops in the Bahmut region. According to sources, Ukraine is currently preparing for a counteroffensive to break the Wagner blockade around Bahmut.

According to one blogger, Ukraine already started counterattacks on the west side of the city yesterday, ISW says in its latest situation review.

Among war bloggers, concern about a future Ukrainian counterattack has grown, as they feel that Russia has deployed too many troops in Bahmut. According to them, Russia is now wasting too much of its best troops in the heavy urban fighting of Bahmut, while making Ukraine’s advance in the south easier.

Most bloggers believe that Ukraine will focus the majority of its spring counteroffensive on southern Ukraine.

– A destroyed Crimea is strategically more important than a destroyed Donbas, one blogger writes according to ISW.

Another Russian blogger is said to have stated that Ukrainian troops can push south without any resistance.
