Israeli hacker group has influenced elections for 20 years

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

An international journalist network has revealed an Israeli hacker group that is said to have influenced around 30 elections over a period of 20 years.

The hacker group goes by the code name “Team Jorge” and is led by a 50-year-old former Israeli soldier named Tal Hanan. His team is said to demand up to nearly 170 million Swedish kronor for their influence campaigns in connection with elections and is said to have been hired by actors in both the US and Europe.

Among other things, they are said to have fueled rumors of electoral fraud that affected the elections in Kenya last year and resulted in violent protests.
