iPhone Continues to Be the Most Popular Smartphone Among Teens

Piper Sandler is also measuring teen interest in iCloud Private Relay, and data shows a significant increase in usage in the second half of 2023. While 37 percent of teens currently report using iCloud Private Relay, 17 percent say they intend to explore it within the next six months. This represents a significant increase from earlier in the year, when only 24 percent of teens were using iCloud Private Transfer, a feature that comes with the iCloud subscription fee.

These youth surveys are conducted every six months, and Piper Sandler has been producing these reports for more than a decade. The latest fall report is based on the opinions of 9,193 young people surveyed in 49 states, with an average age of 15.7.
