Invisible trap revealed hide – filled with armor shot

A package of cannabis led the Customs Agency’s detectives to armored personnel carriers, automatic carbines, thermos bombs and millions of drugs.
Two 24-year-old women and an 18-year-old man are now being charged for the findings.
– I think it is extremely serious when young people have access to sharp military weapons, says Erik Friberg at customs crime.

The Swedish Customs Service’s criminal department tracked down the young people after a package of cannabis arrived in Sweden from the United States at the end of January. The customs staff chose to prepare the shipment with a means that is only visible in a special light before handing it over to a suspect in Arlöv.

The detectives were later able to see how another person picked up the package and drove it to a 24-year-old woman. Customs officers then raided the residence and found large quantities of narcotics, ammunition, a sharp armored bullet, an automatic carbine, a pistol and a thermos bomb.

Customs: “Really ominous”

“The 24-year-old woman and a then 17-year-old boy, who are lying on a bed in the apartment, are immediately arrested,” writes the Customs in a press release.

– It is really ominous that we find such heavy weapons as anti-tank rifles, automatic carbines and thermos bombs when we attack suspected drug smugglers, says Erik Friberg, who is the head of the customs crime department in southern Sweden.

Customs has now brought charges in the case. Two 24-year-old women are suspected of serious drug offenses and violations of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods. They are also charged together with a now 18-year-old boy for extremely serious weapons offences. Their DNA and fingerprints are on the findings.

All three deny wrongdoing.
