Interpump for 2023 growth well above expectations at the beginning

(Tiper Stock Exchange) – Interpumpa group which is part of the FTSE MIB and is active in the production of water pumps and in the hydraulic sector, closed the first half of 2023 with net sales equal to 1,184.3 million euro, up by 15.4% compared to the 1,026.3 million in the corresponding period of the previous year (+13.2% growth on a like-for-like basis). The Oil division recorded growth of 15.2% (+13.2% on a like-for-like basis), while the Water division grew by 15.2% (+13.1% on a like-for-like basis).

L’EBITDA recorded growth of 22.2% to 295.4 million euro, compared to 241.7 million in the corresponding period of 2022 (+19.7% on a like-for-like basis). The incidence on sales was equal to 24.9% (the same incidence is recorded on a like-for-like basis), compared to the 23.6% recorded in the reference period of the previous year. L’consolidated net profit for the period it went from 139.5 million to 168.5 million euro, up by 20.7%.

“The results for the first half of 2023 confirm the group’s ability to better interpret the dynamics of the reference markets even in a difficult national and international context – commented the president Fulvio Montipò – Thanks to this, for 2023, based on the available indications, we can imagine organic growth well above our expectations at the beginning of the year and a solid and stable income performance with EBITDA up compared to 2022″.

As at 30 June 2023 the net financial position amounted to 578.3 million euro, compared to 541.8 million at 31 December 2022. The activities to which the greatest resources were dedicated were those of development with a total of 134.8 million dedicated: 82.1 million for investments and 52.7 million for the purchase of equity investments. Dividends of €32.7 million were paid during the six-month period and €1.9 million collected from the sale of treasury shares to stock option beneficiaries.
