Insulting and one of the worst documentaries ever made

MH370: The Missing Plane tells of one of the most mysterious tragedies in aviation history. The Netflix documentary focuses on one thing in particular: speculation about the unexplained background of the accident. This doesn’t go down well on the internet.

The documentary revisits the disappearance of flight MH370

The Netflix miniseries MH370: The Missing Plane investigates the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. On March 8, 2014, radio contact with the aircraft broke just a few minutes after takeoff and it disappeared from radar shortly afterwards. This was followed by a large-scale search operation, which attracted international attention and speculation in the media. To date, however, neither the wreck has been found, nor has the background to the catastrophe been clearly clarified. The 239 passengers and crew were eventually pronounced dead.

The miniseries consists of three episodes, each 90 minutes long. It discusses several theories surrounding the disappearance, including pilot responsibility. In addition to journalist Jeff Wise, relatives of passengers on the missing plane also have their say.

Audience criticizes the spread of conspiracy theories

The documentary series by producer Harry Hewland (Web of Lies) has received some harsh criticism online.

I’m currently watching the MH370 docuseries on Netflix and this Jeff Wise guy has to be one of the absolutely craziest and most ridiculous conspiracy theorists I’ve ever seen.
Netflix really screwed that up.

Should rather be called the conspiracy theories about MH370 … of which you can find enough on YouTube.

Wasted 3 hours of my life on thisto watch the MH370 “Documentation” so you don’t have to. Calling this a documentary is a long way off, as Netflix prefers to fill 80 percent of the runtime with wacky conspiracy theories. I’m not even going to get started on this Jeff Wise guy. Offensive.

Finally, a Twitter user summarizes:

Dear Netflix, MH370 must be your worst documentary ever. We’re more interested in the phone call the little girl received from her father after the disappearance than in some white guy arguing about whose theory is the best.
