Inflation continues to fall in the US

Inflation in the United States slowed by one percentage point, to 5.0 percent, in March, according to figures from the US Department of Labor. It is 0.1 percentage points lower than what analysts had previously expected.

In contrast, core inflation, i.e. cleaned of food and energy prices, rose from 5.5 percent in February to 5.6 in March.
