When is the best time to go to the bathroom in John Wick: Chapter 4? In view of the running time of almost 170 minutes, that’s not even a far-fetched question. After all, you don’t want to miss any of the action scenes.

Director Chad Stahelski seems to have given some thought to the constitution of his audience’s blisters and included a spot in the action movie starring Keanu Reeves that’s perfect for it.

This is the perfect moment for a bathroom break in John Wick: Chapter 4

In an interview with Discussing Film, Stahelski was asked about the length (169 minutes) of his film. First of all, he made it clear that chapter 4 is much more 159 minutes long, because the credits alone gobble up almost 10 minutes. But then, of his own accord, he brought up the urgent needs of his international audience.

The ideal moment for a bathroom break in John Wick: Chapter 4 comes after the fight at the Berlin Waterfall Club. At least that’s what the director says.

John Wick: Chapter 4

Wick battles Killa (Scott Adkins) after the poker game, during which they brawl at his waterfall-decorated club. It’s one of the best action scenes in a good action packed movie. Afterwards, Wick visits his relatives in Berlin again to show them the golden proof that he has completed his mission. Stahelski on this:

I put this in so you can go to the bathroom. This is a good moment for it and when you come back [hat man nichts Wichtiges verpasst].

In that time you would only miss how Wick is taken in by the Ruska Roma family and given a branding. This allows him to challenge the Marquis (Bill Skarsgård) to a duel before the high table.

What is the 4th part of the action series about?

John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the hit list and the bounty on his head keeps growing – making his opponents increasingly dangerous as well. Long-time friends suddenly become enemies and the number of his comrades-in-arms dwindles.

But there may still be a way for a free man to triumph over the High Chamber that wants him dead. For this, however, the contract killer, who is actually retired, has to travel around the world. And his adversaries have powerful allies scattered throughout the underworld, unleashing deadly assassins on him. Nevertheless, he fights his way from New York via Paris and Osaka to Berlin.

John Wick: Chapter 4 is currently in German cinemas. Part 5 hasn’t been announced yet, but hasn’t been ruled out by Reeves and Stahelski.
