In his novel “Connemara”, Nicolas Mathieu offers a teenage parenthesis to his characters

Winner of the Prix Goncourt in 2018 for Their children after themthe writer Nicolas Mathieu tells us about his new novel, Connemarapublished by Actes Sud.

Taking place in the east of France, it tells the lives of two forties, Hélène and Christophe, who grew up in the same small town before taking different paths, “caught up in the mechanics of life”. When they meet again, twenty years later, they will treat themselves to a “supplement of adolescence”.
