In Guardians of the Galaxy 3, Iris Berben has to play Groot

In Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Iris Berben has to

Vin Diesel hasn’t exactly presented himself from his creamy side in recent weeks. His massive ego sparked the biggest Fast and Furious crisis since Paul Walker’s death, and his videos of the Fast X set make it seem like he’s holding the cast hostage. The paint is off at The Diesel, Dwayne Johnson knew this for a long time, now the whole world recognizes it. So who’s following in the action star’s footsteps? Who will lead the family down the next tank top catwalk and woodenly save the universe in Guardians of the Galaxy 3?

We have a candidate for you that no one would have expected: Iris Berben. In an extremely entertaining disgust satire at the Cannes Film Festival, she is already present their best groot under Evidence.

Triangle of Sadness

In Triangle of Sadness, the star of The First Name, The Foul Word, and The Last Name plays one of several guests on a super-rich cruise. Also in the new film by Palmen winner Ruben Östlund (The Square): the ideally cast Woody Harrelson as drunk captainCharlbi Dean Kriek (Black Lightning) and Harris Dickinson (The King’s Man) as a cash-strapped influencer couple and Sunnyi Melles (Narcissus and Goldmund) in an extreme role that you have to see to believe the extent of their commitment.

Together they chug through the South Seas with caviar and champagne until a shipwreck calls for their survival skills. Of course, they expose themselves terribly (that is, those who are not drowned). Because Östlund fires his bursts of laughter at easy targets (rich people and people who wish to be rich). One can therefore dismiss Triangle of Sadness as flat, toothless and pandering. The audience is never distressed, which is absurd for an effective satire. Criticism of this kind is therefore entirely justified. Were it not for the simple fact that I Had to laugh tears while cruising through the Bermuda Triangle of Bigwigs. That excuses some weaknesses – especially in a serious matter like Cannes.

Here comes Iris Berbens unexpected Application for the one set tree Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy 3 in the game.

Iris Berben should join Guardians of the Galaxy 3 immediately, replacing Vin Diesel

Berben’s figure is something like the commentator on the situation getting out of hand. Her stroke-struck character keeps spitting out the same annoyingly empty phrase: “In the clouds.”

Not in competition for the Palme d’Or: The Last Name

“In the clouds” when an English landmine manufacturer couple makes small talk. “In the clouds” when the captain’s dinner in the stormy seas The contents of the stomachs of the crowding guests spread all over the ship. And “In the Clouds”, when the catastrophe steamer is on fire on the horizon and the stranded rich are suddenly at the bottom of the hierarchy because only the lady in the toilet knows how to make fire.

Questioning, screaming, mourning, whimpering, amused or deeply satisfied: Iris Berben gives these few meaningless words the most diverse meanings. There’s Vin Diesels “I am Groot” but easy! I’m also pretty sure that Iris Berben hasn’t (yet) fallen out with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. That basically predestines her for the role as new matriarch of the Fast and Furious series.

Triangle of Sadness, meanwhile, will disappoint some fans who like Ruben Ostlund films like Force Majeure or The Square for their cunning exposure of bourgeois hubris. There is little that is clever or even subtle about this film. However, for those who like to watch the world pruning silly pricks, Triangle of Sadness will get their (bilious) money’s worth.
