In a new game on Steam, HandOfBlood lives through a Twitch streamer’s nightmare

The YouTuber Max “HandOfBlood” Knabe (30) is known for his entertaining videos. In a video about a new horror game on Steam, he takes on a serious topic, but the fun isn’t neglected.

What kind of game is this? Parasocial is the latest horror game from Japanese indie studio Chilla’s Art. In it, players take on the role of a streamer who is being stalked by an intrusive fan – a real nightmare scenario for many Twitch streamers.

The game has been on Steam since August 26th and is recommended by 95% of players there. You can also scare yourself for €7.79. You can also watch HandOfBlood confront the stalker on YouTube. This is entertaining as usual, but with serious undertones.

Viewers praise the mixture of entertainment and education

How does HandOfBlood do this? The YouTuber doesn’t take the game or himself too seriously. He embodies the role of the streamer with a pink cat ears headset and ironically comments on the sometimes somewhat adventurous video game logic.

At the same time, however, he draws attention to the serious issue. HandOfBlood reports that the game’s story is by no means pure fiction. In fact, there have already been several such cases, as shown in the game, including in the German influencer scene.

The YouTuber explains that such incidents are usually not “broadcast” so as not to draw attention to the perpetrators.

He also gives those affected tips on how to behave in threatening situations and warns not to go to the police out of shame.

You can watch the full video from HandOfBlood here. However, the entire plot is shown there. So if you want to experience the story and scary moments of the game yourself, you should do so beforehand.

What’s the deal with parasocial fans? Parasocial fans believe they have a friendly or romantic relationship with a famous person, in this case content creator. However, this is a one-sided relationship that those you love often don’t even know about.

It’s not just women who are affected, men can also be affected by obsessive fans and even stalking.
