Ice hockey: The Finnish star played with HV71 – scored four goals in the crush

Luleå continues to be completely dominant in SDHL.

Against HV71 came the 29th victory in 32 rounds and this with the clear numbers 7-2. Most prominent in the crush this time was one of the team’s Finnish national team stars, Viivi Vainikka.

After a goalless first period, she was the one who scored 1-1 after six minutes of play in the middle period. This before she tricked a hill into the stands until 2-1.

Five goals in the last period

It was in the third period that Luleå’s big breakthrough would come. The home team scored no fewer than five goals, with Vainikka getting on the score sheet twice more.

After tonight’s playhouse, Vainikka now has 22 goals scored in the SDHL this season. With that, she is in joint leadership of the shooting league together with her Finnish teammate, Petra Nieminen.
