Ice hockey: André Burakovsky accepts the ice hockey World Cup – but no from Jacob Markström and Jesper Bratt

Two have declined. Calgary goalkeeper Jacob Markström will not play in the tournament in the Czech Republic in May due to injury after, among other things, breaking a finger during the season.

– There will be no WC for me because of the injury concerns I had during the season, Markström tells Hockeynews.

Sam Hallam also gets a no from New Jersey forward Jesper Bratt, who has scored 83 points in 82 games this season.

– He wanted to play the World Cup, really, but after having a medical examination it was decided that he cannot participate in the World Cup, says Bratt’s agent Joakim Persson, KMJ, to Aftonbladet.
