Manchester Uniteds outcast now shines in the Champions League

According to the BBC, Borussia Dortmund would like Jadon Sancho to stay in the team, but the German club is unlikely to be able to buy the English player.

Jadon Sancho enjoys playing for Germany’s Borussia Dortmund. Sancho shone against French side Paris Saint-Germain in the men’s Champions League semi-final on Wednesday. Dortmund won the first two matches 1–0.

The Englishman Sancho was resourceful on the offensive end and actively participated in defensive play as well.

Sancho is in Dortmund on loan from Manchester United. United bought the 24-year-old winger from Dortmund for a transfer fee of 85 million euros in the summer of 2021.

In Wednesday’s game, Sancho recorded 11 deflections by half-time, more than in any of his United games. The English club currently has five diversions.

The PSG pack that defended Sancho Nuno Mendes was in trouble with the striker in the opening period. In the second half, Dortmund took advantage of Sancho’s play. In the second half, the Englishman got to the ball 99 times and had 26 more touches than any of his teammates.

In the second half, Sancho also passed his teammates into good goal positions. Scored Dortmund’s winning goal in the opening period Niklas Füllkrug got to the top spot, but the German striker shot the ball over the goal.

Among other things, the British Broadcasting Company BBC described Sancho’s appearance of impudence. TNT Sports expert, former Scotland national team player Ally McCoist beamed the young Englishman.

– Sancho looks like a completely different player. His body language is that of the kind of player Manchester United bought.

Can ManU get rid of Sancho?

Of his 17 deflections in the entire match, Sancho managed 12, which is the most in this season’s Champions League. More successful deflections in one Champions League semi-final match have only been recorded Lionel Messi. The Argentinian dribbled past Manchester United players 16 times in April 2008.

– Jadon made the opponents dance. We haven’t seen him play like that since he left Dortmund (for United). Today we saw the familiar Sancho from yard games. A child who grew up frolicking around yard games, a former United player Rio Ferdinand described after the PSG match.

According to the BBC, Sancho will not be given responsibility at United if he is the head coach Erik ten Hag. Dortmund would like to buy the player, but the club can hardly afford to buy an Englishman.

According to media reports, Sanchon signed a contract with United, with which he earns 300,000 pounds, or about 350,000 euros per week. Daily Mail tellsthat United are currently paying 100,000 pounds (approx. 117,000 euros) per week for Sancho’s salary.

United are also unable to sell Sancho cheaply due to Premier League financial rules.

– I would like to know what happened at United, why didn’t the game go well there? The positive thing for United is that several clubs want him (Sanchon) now, Ferdinand punted.

The star of the evening praised the Dortmund supporters and reminded that the match pair is still unfinished. He stated that he appreciates the compliments, but prepares for one match at a time.

– I arrived at Dortmund when I was 17, and they gave me the opportunity to play professional football. I am happy with the reception I have received and I am focused on the present at the moment, Sancho answered the question about his future.
