ICA on the loss of confidence A tough year

The confidence barometer 2024 showed gloomy figures for Ica. In the list of which companies the Swedes felt the most trust in, ICA had lost a full eleven percent since the previous year.

ICA: “Food prices have been in focus”

“We know that it has been a tough year for customers and food prices have been in focus, it naturally affects us”.

According to Elfvelin, the food giant has made major investments to reduce food prices, something that ICA hopes will increase customer confidence.

Despite this, several Ica stores have recently taken out millions in profit. Only Ica Maxi in Haninge has distributed a hidden profit of SEK 138 million. Read more about it here.

ICA wants to lower food prices to win trust

“We have made big investments to reduce prices and this year we are making a big investment in reduced prices on everyday goods,” she writes to Nyheter24, and continues:

“Now we see that customers are coming back and our internal measurements show that we are recovering. It is a gratifying trend and we continue to work on strengthening our brand in the long term.”
