Hydrogen refueling test for apron vehicles at Bristol airport

(Finance) – At Bristol Airport an operation was conducted hydrogen refueling to a tractor used for baggage handling. The operation was coordinated by the company easyJet in the context of Acorn project.

Completed successfully, the test served demonstrate that hydrogen can be used safelyduring handling activities at airports, to fuel apron vehicles and help reduce CO2 emissions.

Project Acorn was developed by a number of UK entities, including Cranfield Aerospace Solutions, Cranfield University, Connected Places Catapult (CPC), DHL Supply Chain, Fuel Cell Systems, the IAAPS research institute, Jacobs, Mulag and TCR.
