HV71 coach Anton Blomqvist’s anger during the interview on TV4

HV71 was behind 0-2 against Timrå after the first period.

It hasn’t been an easy debut season for Anton Blomqvist34, in HV71. After 32 rounds played, the team is second last in the SHL table, only 4 points ahead of fellow Modo. Already after the first period in Thursday’s match against Timrå, he was angry again. His team was 0-2 down after the first 20 minutes and he was far from satisfied with his own team’s performance. The second goal came with just 13 seconds left in the period, by Timrås Jeremy Boyce Rotevall.
– It is not good enough. We need to start skating and win some melee battles. It’s completely crippled and we’re not showing anything. It’s terribly annoying, he says in TV4 Play.

Job position in the table for HV71

There was a small promotion in the second period. HV71 scored two goals, but conceded one. So the score before the decisive period was 3-2 to Timrå. But then the northerners gasped on and on Sebastian Hartmann and Oliver Kapanen punctuated the match instead. 2-5 against Timrå meant that HV71 have now lost three straight games. The fact that Linköping also won their match meant that the Småländers are now in the qualification place again.
