Hundreds of Gazans make their way north – two killed by IDF

Despite warnings, hundreds of Palestinians are trying to get north into the Gaza Strip during the negotiated ceasefire. This is reported by AP.

According to information to the news agency, at least two have been killed and over ten people have been shot.

Before the temporary cease-fire, the Israeli military, the IDF, was clear that an evacuation from Gaza is only permitted to the south.

– The war is not over yet. The humanitarian pause is temporary. The northern Gaza Strip is a dangerous war zone and it is forbidden to flee to the north. For your safety, you must remain in the humanitarian zone in the south, said the IDF’s Arab spokesman Avichay Adraee, in a posts on X.

The ceasefire and hostage surrender agreement came after negotiations led by Qatar in close cooperation with the United States.

At 3 p.m., the first Israeli hostages are expected to be released.
