“We wanted to build a bridge between the village and the residents of the Willem Arntsz Hoeve,” says Marian Kesler, resident of Den Dolder. “We have an organic market garden there, we work together there.” After the drama surrounding Anne Faber, who was murdered by a patient in a Fivoor clinic, Marian wanted to do something. She set up the project ‘Tuinderij Uit de Kluiten’. “I wanted to connect vulnerable and vital people with each other and let them be outside together.” People from Reinaerde and Altrecht, who are also on the site, and patients from Fivoor were able to help in the garden. This created connection and understanding between residents and patients.
