Russia’s intervention in Ukraine continues. While conflicts intensify at some points in the country, hot images continue to come.
TRT REPORTER AND TEAM ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF CONFLICT
While the moments of clashes between the Ukrainian artillery units and the Russian troops, approximately 15 kilometers from Kiev, were displayed moment by moment, the TRT reporter and his team were caught in the middle of the conflict.
“WE HAVE NO PLACE TO HIDE”
TRT News Correspondent Murat Can Öztürk described those moments as follows:
“The artillery is currently firing howitzers near Kyiv. At the moment we are stranded and have nowhere else to hide. There is nothing to move about. Ukrainian artillery is firing one after another.
Russian tanks approaching Kiev. There’s been a huge explosion right now. We shouldn’t spend too much time. Here are the Russian tanks. You see the hit Russian tanks.
“EVERYWHERE IS EXPLOSING”
When this tank was hit, the others were either repelled or forced to flee. Another explosion. It’s exploding everywhere. There is a blown up bridge 3-4 km ahead. Russian armored troops were able to advance a little after crossing the bridge. We had a very difficult time coming here. There are checkpoints everywhere. There are soldiers. Now we see soldiers, not volunteer civilians.”
