A number of horror films have caused a stir this film year. This also includes the sequel Terrifier 2. The low-budget shocker about the series-killing clown Art has caused audiences in the USA to vomit and faint. Besides that, the sequel was also made a notable success at the box office grossing nearly $8 million on a budget of just $250,000.
But that’s not enough for some of those responsible for the hype. With a weird action, even the Oscar buzz for Terrifier 2 cranked.
Terrifier 2 executives submit horror hype to Oscar members
Genre website Bloody Disgusting is also among the producers behind Terrifier 2. She has now released a statement that she Horror film submitted to the Academy as an Oscar nominee to have:
Yes, it’s total bullshit. But you know what? The thought of having members of the Academy endure an unrated extreme horror film that they would otherwise find unworthy? This is just too fun an opportunityto miss them.
Bloody Disgusting also calls for spreading the hashtag #OscarsForArt on Twitter so that the bizarre serial killer clown might end up at Hollywood’s highest film awards ceremony after all! When will Terrifier 2 be released in Germany?
The horror sequel has not yet started in this country. Since the first part due to the extreme depiction of violence only available in a censored version unfortunately we don’t have too much hope for the sequel in uncut form.
