The report in the evening newspaper, which published the artists’ names and pictures, caused a real cultural debate. Many were critical of the unmasking. So also the main characters themselves.
— I think we felt a little disappointed. We were absolutely not angry, there has been no anger, says Mårdis, one half of the duo Hooja, to Norrbottens-Kuriren.
They also say that they were prepared to one day have their identities revealed, but say that many felt it was unnecessary and that there are fans who really don’t want to know who they are.

The duo neither wants to deny nor comment on details in Aftonbladet’s text, other than that they think it contains inaccuracies.
— We’re like an ecosystem, we’re only driven by what’s fun – and that wasn’t fun. I didn’t want it in what we sit and do here, we just sit and have fun. It’s the only thing we do. We never think we’re making songs that will climb the charts or be played on the radio, we just want to have fun. And that thing was damn not fun at all, says Mårdis.

After the revelation, Hooja won several prizes at Rockbjörnen, which is organized by Aftonbladet. Among other things, they were named group of the year – but chose to nod at the gala.
