Wedged between China and India, Bhutan can boast of being one of the few countries in the world to have a negative carbon footprint. The reason for such a feat? This small Himalayan kingdom as large as Switzerland is 70% covered in forests. Be aware, however, that you will have to pay $200 per night for the “sustainable development” tax… But it’s for a good cause!
