A few days ago we received the news that… Quentin Tarantino has crushed his latest work The Movie Critic. The film was supposed to be his 10th film, capping off his career spanning over 30 years. The Movie Critic shouldn’t just bring back Brad Pitt in his role as stunt man Cliff Booth from Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood. Apparently the director planned a whole series of references to his numerous cult films – and last but not least, to himself.

As The Hollywood Reporter reports, Tarantino had some brilliant ideas in store for The Movie Critic. So the film would have as “Tarantino farewell metaverse” should act in which his previous works exist in the same era. This would have allowed the filmmaker to bring back actors he has already worked with, or even some of his most iconic characters from Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill or Django Unchained – adapted to the 1970s.

Among the stars interviewed for The Movie Critic are John Travolta (Pulp Fiction), Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained), Margot Robbie (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) and even Tom Cruise Tarantino has not worked with him to date.

At the same time, The Movie Critic was supposed to show a cinema in which the characters appear at you “aspiring future auteur” meet. This would have been an opportunity for Tarantino to write a young version of himself into the film. At the age of 16, the filmmaker worked as an usher in a Torrence porn cinema. It remains to be seen whether Tarantino will bring his farewell metaverse together in another film.
