Rock star Kid Rock’s limit has been crossed. In a salute on social media, he responds to Bud Light’s collaboration with transgender Dylan Mulvaney – by opening fire on the brewery’s beer cans. “Fuck Bud Light and fuck Anheuser-Busch,” he says seconds after the cans have tasted a couple of solid salves. Brewery giant Anheuser-Busch is in the spotlight on social media. The reason is a recently started collaboration with trans person Dylan Mulvaney. Through the hashtag #budlightpartner, it has been possible to follow how Mulvaney, among other things, celebrated her 365th day as a woman by thanking the brewery for a set of the popular beer – which in a limited edition is adorned with Mulvaney’s face. Kid Rock’s response: Pointing the finger – and shooting a dot The response from the conservative Trump supporters has not been long in coming. In the front line: the genre-crossing music star Kid Rock, known among other things for his relationship with Pamela Andersson in the 2000s. In a video on Tiktok, he makes no secret of what he thinks of the collaboration. Dressed in, among other things, a backwards Trump cap, he lets the automatic weapon do the talking by firing a few volleys that hit the lined-up beer cans. Soon after, he turns to the camera, points his middle finger and elaborates on his thoughts about the brewery with the help of a couple of expletives. “Will boycott for the sake of the family” Kid Rock’s anger is shared by many other Americans, who believe that such measures infringe on their values. Phoenix resident Suzy Faz is cooling off at an outdoor patio when she is asked about Bud Light’s collaboration. – I will definitely boycott them just for the sake of the family, she says.
