Sápmi collected a total of 26 medals at the Arctic Winter Games in Alaska, which ended last Saturday.
On Tuesday afternoon, several of the heroes came home to Sápmi again.
– It was so much fun to compete there. But it feels good to come home again and see the family, says Ebba-Stina Rimpi, who won two individual golds in the cross-country race.
Freja Partapuoli, who won three medals, also thinks it feels good to be home again. Up front, it’s nice to avoid the American food.
– It has been very American food there with a lot of sugar, she says.
