Felix Unger Sörum, Linus Johansson and Max Friberg are the SHL players who get a place in Tre Kronor’s WC squad.
16 NHL pros have been ready for the squad for some time. They were supplemented by a few more when the national team captain Sam Hallam released the WC squad.
– We have a squad we are happy with, but it is not closed, says Hallam.
This means that one or two players may be allowed to leave the squad.

Tre Kronor begins the group stage on Friday in Ostrava. Already in the first match, the USA, like Sweden, one of the pre-designated favorites, is waiting to play for the WC gold in two weeks.
– A fantastic starting match against a very good USA. We feel that we have two days to prepare for what in advance is perhaps the toughest task in the group, says Hallam at a digital press conference from the hotel in Ostrava.

Tre Kronor has managed to win the WC eleven times throughout history, but in recent years has not made it further than the quarter-finals.
Last year Latvia was too difficult in Riga.
