Here he lands – straight on the competitor’s chest

The second day of competition in the World Cup in Val St. Come, Canada, in addition to a blue-yellow podium, also offered dramatic images in the “little final” when Benjamin Cavet fell to the ground and slid onto the wrong track.

Competitor Matt Graham landed squarely on the Frenchman’s chest, inches from his face. An incident that could have ended very badly.

The Australian was quickly there and checked the situation with the competitor. Cavet lay down for a while and slowly made his way down the hill, but was then able to give the television cameras a thumbs up and a smile.

– I gave you some really good pictures, he said jokingly to a photographer in the goal area.

Graham grabbed the third and final podium in the race behind runner-up Filip Gravenfors and winner Mikaël Kingsbury.
