Jonatan Holstensson was having a late breakfast with his girlfriend when the house in central Stockholm caught fire on Sunday afternoon.
– I live two apartments above where the fire started, then I opened the balcony door to check out but then smoke came into the apartment. I slammed the door shut and my first thought was that we should run out of the apartment, says Jonatan.
Instead of fleeing, Jonatan and his girlfriend were forced to take shelter inside the apartment:
– I got a big cloud of smoke over me and then we just have time to turn around and run back into the apartment and barricade ourselves. It was very chaotic for a period on the street where people were carried away on stretchers. It was a chaotic situation, then two firemen picked us up.
