On the third of October, it’s time for a new season of The Cooks’ Battle, but this time in a different form than before. For the first time, we now see star chefs returning to the program for a chance at revenge.
– It is certainly the 12th season of Kokkarna kamp, but in many ways it feels completely new this year. Taking revenge, I think many people sign up to, is one of the best things there is in competition. That’s what this whole season is about. Bringing back some of the best and most competitive contestants over the years to give them a chance for revenge gave us some of the best fights we’ve experienced, says host Pär Lernström in a press release.

The star chefs in the Battle of the Chefs 2023
Widely employed TV chef, food writer, cookbook author and lecturer. Appeared in season four of Kokkarnas kamp, 2015. Alexandra went out in episode five, on her birthday.
Operates the restaurants AG and Rolfs kök and newly opened Rolfs hav in Stockholm as well as the fast food chain Jureskogs. Participated in season two of Kokkarna kamp, 2013. Johan lost in the final against Håkan Törnström, after a blunder in the “piece of pig” part.
Runs restaurant Allegrine in Stockholm and in Burgsvik on Gotland. Participated in season three of Kokkarnas kamp, 2014. Danyel went out in episode four on the competition “steaks & fillets” where the participants have to estimate the weight of pieces of meat.
Have worked at some of the best restaurants in Stockholm and abroad. Frequently employed guest chef with new secret projects underway. Participated in season five of Kokkarna kamp, 2016. She claimed third place after the taste test competition where she only had one dish.
Chef legends behind the old Stockholm fine dining restaurant Paul & Norbert, now frequently hired guest chef and asparagus expert. Appeared in season seven of Kokkarnas kamp, 2018. Norbert went into the sauce duel against his old student Linnéa Liljedahl in episode four.
Runs the restaurants Punk Royal in Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo and Coco & Carmen in Stockholm. Participated in season seven of Kokkarna kamp, 2018. Joakim went out first of all, at the “potato tower” competition.
Runs the restaurant Smakbyn on Åland as well as the restaurants Åland Distillery and Niska on Åland and in several places in Finland. In Helsinki, he runs BBQ Royale and Café as well as Royal Estrad. Won Robinson 2020. Participated in season three of Kokkarna kamp, 2014. He left only after a failure in the branch “fry pancakes”, something he has been ashamed of ever since.
Head chef at one-star restaurant Ekstedt in Stockholm. Has worked at several prominent restaurants around the world. Appeared in season nine of The Chefs Battle, 2020. Florencia was forced to leave the competition in episode four.
Runs the restaurant Tumült in Ystad. Participated in season five of Kokkarna kamp, 2016. Daniel had to leave the competition in episode five, after he chopped radishes and cut off the tip of his finger.
Runs the restaurant Linnéa&Peter in Örnsköldsvik. Has also worked at Norbert Lang’s restaurant Paul and Norbert. Participated in season seven of Kokkarnas kamp, 2018. Linnéa lost in the final with only two votes against Thomas Sjögren.
