The alarm came in at half past seven on Saturday morning, and when the emergency services arrived at the scene, the fire was fully developed. About 20 people from three stations participate in the effort.
– We are not trying to put out the fire, but the property will have to burn down, says Lars-Åke Stevelind, who is the officer on duty at the Rescue Center in Stockholm County.
The fire under control
The rescue service will be on site until 12 noon, after which the effort will be scaled down.
– It will continue to smoke for most of the day, but luckily the smoke blows over uninhabited areas and not over the central parts of Nykvarn, says Lars-Åke Stevelind.
