Hearty Keanu Reeves insult removed from Friends star Matthew Perrys

Friends star Matthew Perry made headlines last year when he thoughtlessly taunted Keanu Reeves in his memoir. Actually, the actor reflects very touchingly on his career in Hollywood and his alcohol problems in the book. In a passage, however, he has out of tone.

“Why do original thinkers like River Phoenix or Heath Ledger die and Keanu Reeves is still with us?” That’s the sentence that caused outrage. Perry apologized for his words in October 2022. Now he looks back on the book’s release and promises to change the Keanu part.

Matthew Perry wants to remove the Keanu Reeves insult from all future versions of his memoir

At the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books Perry spoke about the publication of his memoir. The name Keanu Reeves also came up. “It was a stupid mistake”admits Perry, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.

[Der Kommentar] was very mean. I only took his name because I live on the same street. I have publicly joined [Keanu Reeves] sorry. In all future versions of the book his name will not appear. If I run into him one day, I will personally apologize to him. That was really stupid.

It is not yet certain when the new version of Perry’s memoirs will appear.
