    Covid screening, food price hikes, fuel allowance, Navigo Pass… On March 1, many things are changing. The opportunity to take stock of the new features implemented.

    In this 1er March, several changes are implemented in different areas, such as health, energy, food and transport.

    What about health news?

    From this month of March, Covid-19 screening tests are no longer 100% covered by Social Security. There is now a remaining charge of 30 to 40% depending on the health professional who will carry it out. The following are excluded from this charge:

    • people with long-term illness;
    • people aged 65 and over;
    • minors;
    • caregivers;
    • pregnant women ;
    • people undergoing collective screening.

    What changes concerning the energies?

    Last February, Bruno Le Maire announced a fuel allowance of 100 euros for people using their vehicle to go to work. A way for the government to help the most precarious to pay for their full tank of gas. The request for aid, to be made on the tax site, was to be closed at the end of February. Finally, it was postponed until the end of March. So you still have a month to apply.

    In addition, still concerning fuel, the CEO of TotalEnergies announced a few days ago the capping of the price of diesel and Unleaded 95 at 1.99 euros. A measure which begins today and which concerns 3,400 gas stations in the group.

    Do you rather take public transport? You can request a partial refund of your Navigo Pass. A compensation form will be put in place on March 14 and until April 14, 2023 to obtain a refund of half a month’s subscription, i.e. 37.60 euros. This is due to the disruptions experienced by the network in recent months.

    Finally, the month of March marks the limit for use (until 03/31) of the energy check issued in the spring of 2022 to help low-income households.

    Price increases expected in March

    You may already know: significant price increases are expected on supermarket shelves. And this, because of the negotiations carried out between the large distribution and the suppliers of the food industry on the wholesale prices.

    If the Minister of the Economy Bruno Le Maire wants to be reassuring, the price increase that some experts predict could be around 10%. The anti-inflation basket, which we told you about a little while ago, can be a help to fill your shopping cart at a lower cost.

    Restaurant tickets, cold calling… Changes also on the business side

    Set up in 2022, the equality index is an indicator of gender parity in companies with more than 50 employees. It must be made public on March 1 of each year in these companies, thanks to the calculation of a score and work to improve it if the figures are insufficient.

    This March 1 also marks the ban on cold calling on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The canvassing time slots are therefore fixed from Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and no more than four times a month.

    Finally, before March 15, paper restaurant tickets for 2022 can be exchanged free of charge for new ones. Regarding the cards, a transfer of the accumulated money must be made for use in 2023.
