From part to part, the Mission: Impossible series excels every time with spectacular set pieces for action fans. The sixth film Mission: Impossible 6 – Fallout is probably the pinnacle so far in this regard.

The action blockbuster with Tom Cruise has recently been available for subscription again on Netflix and has made it straight to number 2 in the streaming charts. Also there is Henry Cavill, who through his grandiose performance possibly even got his The Witcher lead in the film.

Henry Cavill got himself into the Witcher talk around Fallout

Even those who may not have seen the sixth Mission: Impossible movie should know the most iconic scene starring Cavill. It’s about the moment in a Parisian toilet where the character of the star swings his fists and reloads them like a gun.

Alongside his popular Superman role in the DCEU, it was the biggest triumph of Cavill’s action career to date. Then came the Fallout promo tour, where the actor told IGN (YouTube ) a few days before the blockbuster’s theatrical release that he wanted to play Geralt of Rivia in the Netflix adaptation of The Witcher. Cavill reportedly asked his agent to meet with showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich for months.

While Mission: Impossible 6 – Fallout celebrated its world premiere at the end of July 2018, announced in September that Henry Cavill would star in Netflix’s The Witcher series. That can not be a coincidence.

Since Mission: Impossible 7 – Dead Reckoning Part One ends with a big cliffhanger, an eighth part has long been decided. Mission: Impossible 8 – Dead Reckoning Part Two is scheduled to hit theaters on June 27, 2024. It should be the conclusion for Tom Cruise in the series.
